Premium cataract surgery
Minimally Invasive Cataract Surgery (or Small Incision Cataract Surgery)
Phacoemulsification uses ultrasound energy to break up cataracts into tiny fragments, which are then suctioned and removed. This is performed through a very small incision (<3mm) and most of the time, stitches are not required.
Complex Cataract Surgery
Dr Chelvin Sng is trained and accredited in complex cataract surgery, including phacomorphic lenses, small pupils, floppy iris syndrome, angle-closure, dense / white cataracts, lens subluxation, and scleral-fixation of intraocular lens.
